MoCCA Arts Festival Award of Excellence

I'm happy to announce that Heroical was recognized as an outstanding work at this year's MoCCa Fest and received the MoCCA Arts Festival Award of Excellence from The Society of Illustrators. 

This year's winners also included: Alexandra Beguez (Narwhal), Greg Kletsel (Exercise the Demon), Jess Ruliffson (Invisible Wounds), and Luke Healy (Of The Monstrous Pictures of Whales). 

This year's judges included Gregory Benton, Tracy Hurren, Chip Kidd, Chris Pitzer, and James Sturm.  All materials chosen in the jury's initial survey will be acquired by Columbia University's Rare Book and Manuscript Library for the MoCCA Arts Festival collection, to be expanded annually. Thanks!

Air Heart

Heroical Prints

A freshly printed set of limited edition, woodblock prints that will be available at the MoCCA Arts Festival this Saturday and Sunday, April 5-6. "Villain 1" and "Hero 1" are each 7x10 on Arches cotton rag paper. You can find me at table B29.

Society of Illustrators 56

The 2012-13 season posters created for Theatre Project Baltimore were awarded the Gold medal in the Advertising Category at this year's Society of Illustrators Exhibition in New York. Thank you to Theatre Project's artistic directors past and present Anne Fulwiler and Chris Pfingsten for being such a great client over the last 11 years. Thanks to all of the judges and the folks at Society of Illustrators for the award.

Célébrer Paris

Poster commissioned by the Graphic Arts Festival (Fête du Graphisme) in Paris for the upcoming exhibition "Célébrer Paris", on view all over Paris from Jan 8 to Feb 18 and on the Champs-Élysées from Jan 22 to Feb 5, 2014.
