This week's Perri Klass article is about shyness in kids. The kid in front (the not-shy one) reminds me of my son. Which might mean that I am the triangle mom in the back. Yikes.

Chronicle 2013 Almanac

I love working on a good series. The Chronicle of Higher Education recently asked me to illustrate seven pieces for their 2013 Almanac. Surprisingly, my favorite piece ended up being "finance." Sometimes a topic that sounds dry makes you push the concept a little more. That's one of the things I enjoy most about editorial illustration. It makes you think.

Print Lives! Closing Exhibition Party

Thank you, everyone for coming to the studio Saturday to celebrate a successful gallery show with us. We loved seeing people leave with rolls of posters in hand. Quite a few sold out, but there was a lot to choose from, so we had many happy customers.

Print Lives! Opening

The opening of the Print Lives! Poster Sale at the Spur Gallery went great! It's always fun sharing our work with old friends and meeting new patrons. Print Lives! will be on display until August 24th, with a closing event to be announced. Feel free to stop by the Spur Gallery any time Monday through Friday from 9-5 to browse and buy some posters!

Picasso Poster

Here's one of the many $5 posters that will be for sale at Print Lives! this Thursday at the Spur Gallery. This is Dave's "Picasso", an image originally created for Craig Yoe's Arf Museum and eventually reproduced into an attractive 11" X 16" promotional poster.
